Mr. Bernard brings significant experience working with early stage
and public companies engaged in technology. Prior to joining TCC, Mr.
Bernard served as President & CEO of The Digital Network, a Dallas-based
startup using the under utilized capacity of HDTV broadcast streams
to securely deliver multimedia files too large for Internet transmission
to dedicated receivers. Prior to that, Mr. Bernard was COO and EVP of
Virtual Networks, a Houston-based CLEC providing VPN, VoIP, LD and Unified
Messaging services to commercial customers over a 32-POP ATM network.
He was an SBU Manager, Vice President and Senior Staff member of PageMart
Wireless, the largest provider at retail of consumer paging services
in the U.S. Prior to joining PageMart, Mr. Bernard was co-founder, COO
and EVP of ProNet Inc., the first paging company to successfully launch
an IPO. He gained consumer electronics and semiconductor experience
while serving in a number of sales management positions for Mostek Corporation
and Texas Instruments Incorporated. Mr. Bernard has served on several
boards of emerging companies. He is currently a mentor in the StarTech
Early Ventures high-tech business accelerator program. Mr. Bernard received
his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University.
